My name is Michael Essilfie. Born and raised in Accra, Ghana. I am a product designer with experience designing B2C products and crafting intuitive experiences for 10,000+ customers. My journey in UI/UX Design started in 2020 where my love for business ideas pushed me on the path to try and bring those ideas to life. In my research I discovered UI/UX Design and began my journey. Most of my major experiences can be found in Hubtel. I joined Hubtel in 2022 and started working on B2C products (E-commerce & Payments) for over 10,000+ customers of Hubtel. My love for UX design grew as I saw the impact of my designs and seeing real life responses from users.

I introduced the notifications experience, live chat and the marketing ads display on the Hubtel app as part of my contribution to Hubtel’s ecommerce platform. I went ahead and worked on the marketing portal and notifications creation system on Hubtels ecommerce backoffice.

Moving forward, I was placed on new projects like RaiseUp platform and SMB Payroll. These products were some of my major contributions to Hubtel and products like RaiseUp is serving about 1,450+ schools in Ghana which in turn is serving around 468,000+ students in Ghana. Realizing how much an idea with the right user experience and great user interface can bring about positive change, I decided to also contribute to the lives of people and businesses with UI/UX design.

I moved to the United States in April of 2024 , currently based in Ohio and I am looking forward to make positive impact through great product design.
